Revenge of the Night Wolf

In the time of the Vikings, warriors lawfully fought to the death over insults, slights to their honor, or to protect their family name.

Revenge was not a cruel aberration but an established precedent of law. Forgiveness was an alien idea imported by the Christian church.

These were times of Imperial conflicts, desperate civil wars, widespread slavery, and religious persecution. It was a sword age, a wolf’s age, and an age of magic.

Hence comes Halfdan the Wolf–priest of Freya, roving Viking, berserker, and shape-changer–to wreak vengeance upon his enemies.
