A. The Lone Crow stories should be considered taking place in an alternate historical western setting that is very similar to the historic old west that we know, but some of the events play out very differently--and sometimes have a supernatural twist.

Jenkins’ Lone Crow is the literary descendant of Robert E. Howard’s Solomon Kane and Aaron B. Larson’s Haakon Jones and the finest weird western series I’ve encountered next to Larson’s. Truth be told, he may be better than Larson, and I’m just biased towards Larson because of his extensive use of my native South Dakota for many of his stories.

I think the Lone Crow stories transcend genre. I love the setting (weird west), and the characters are great. The story Condemnation of Crow alone is worth the price of admission. Joel Jenkins is a great writer, and I hope we haven’t seen the last of Lone Crow.

I loved the action and esoteric historic cameo's and all I could think while reading this is WOW! Joel Jenkins is my kind of writer!
